Compare Senior Living With the True Cost of Home

For homeowners, senior living can initially seem expensive because so many costs are combined into one monthly figure. A better comparison is to calculate what it actually costs to remain at home.

Consider the mortgage or rent, property taxes, insurance, utilities, groceries, home maintenance, landscaping, housekeeping, transportation, fitness memberships, entertainment, and other recurring expenses.
