TRADITION SENIOR LIVING

ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

It is the policy and practice of Tradition Senior Living and its agents and employees not to engage in housing discrimination based on a current or prospective resident’s race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability or any other classification protected by applicable federal, state or local law.

It is the policy and practice of Tradition Senior Living and its agents and employees not to engage in harassment based on a current or prospective resident’s race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability or any other classification protected by applicable federal, state or local law.

It is the policy and practice of Tradition Senior Living and its agents and employees not to engage in any type of retaliation or threatened retaliation against any individual for making a complaint, participating in an investigation or other proceeding involving a claim of discrimination or harassment, or for aiding or encouraging another individual to file, commence, or proceed with such a complaint.

It is the policy and practice of Tradition Senior Living and its agents and employees to encourage the participation of persons with disabilities to the fullest extent possible in all of its programs, services, and activities. It is Tradition Senior Living’s policy to provide “reasonable accommodations” to its rules, policies, practices, or services and “reasonable modifications” to an individual unit for all prospective and current tenants with disabilities who request them unless such accommodation would present an undue financial or administrative burden or make a fundamental alteration in the nature of its programs.

Any tenant or prospective tenant seeking an accommodation to Tradition Senior Living’s rules, policies, practices, or services or modifications to an individual residential unit must submit a Resident’s Reasonable Accommodation Request Form (the “Request Form”) to the Executive Director of the applicable community (Prestonwood or Lovers Lane) requesting such accommodation and providing the information set forth on the Request Form.  The Executive Director will respond in writing either (1) granting the request (conditionally or unconditionally); (2) denying the request; (3) denying the request but offering an alternative accommodation; or (4) requesting additional information before acting on the request.  Because of the importance of properly acting on requests for accommodations and because of the potential for liability for failing to properly respond to such a request, Tradition Senior Living requires current or prospective residents to submit the properly filled out Request Form to the applicable Executive Director.
